Electronic Components Applications Engineer
An Applications Engineer is responsible for the sales support of RF/microwave components operating in the 0.5 to 6 GHz frequency range. In addition to direct customer support, an Apps Engineer will provide ancillary technical support to marketing and engineering in the form of application notes, drawings, and product characterization required to resolve customer, engineering, and marketing requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to Z-Communications' customers.
- Provide additional technical support to sales, marketing, and customers to resolve application issues or difficulties.
- Provide application drawings to marketing, customers, and engineering.
- Create proposed specifications for new parts when no existing parts meet customer needs.
- Provide input to support marketing development of Data Sheets, press release, and selector guides.
- Support Z-Communications sales department and customer service personnel.
Requirements:
- BSEE
- Understanding of microwave radios [emphasis in VCOs (voltage controlled oscillators) and frequency synthesizers]
- Key market understanding of wireless base stations, test equipment, and point-to-point/multipoint radios.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to engage both technical and business client executives.
- Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and self-motivation.
- Technical aptitude, resourcefulness, and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
- Realistic, forward-thinking, aggressive, can-do attitude and drive.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.

Engineering Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test, troubleshoot, and characterize RF/Microwave components and subsystems.
- Provide feedback and assistance to design engineers.
- Maintain test fixtures.
- Create and maintain all test records.
- Assist in creating test procedures and other product documentation.
- Rework SMT assemblies.
Requirements and/or Required Skills:
- Associates degree in electronics or equivalent training/experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience testing and troubleshooting RF/Microwave components and subsystems.
- Skilled at operating Spectrum analyzers, Network analyzers, Power meters, Signal generators, Frequency Counters, Power supplies, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of personal computers and Windows based programs such as (Excel, Word & Exchange).
