VCO: CRO2500C-LF Provides Low Noise Solution for Basestation Equipment

Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) model CRO2500C-LF. The CRO2500C-LF covers the frequency range of 2400 to 2600 MHz within a tuning voltage range of 1 to 12 Vdc. This innovative VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -106 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 23 MHz/V.
The CRO2500C-LF is designed to deliver 7±2 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load while operating off a 8 Vdc supply and drawing typically 28 mA of current. This high performance VCO operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -40 to 85ºC. The CRO2500C-LF features typical second harmonic suppression of -15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s standard, low profile MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
The CRO2500C-LF is well suited for basestation equipment and satellite communication applications that require low phase noise performance.
